In rare cases, the payment amount may be authorized on your bank card during checkout, but the payment may fail due to a timeout or another unexpected reason.

In such cases, Barion cancels the payment, and your card-issuer bank is responsible for releasing the authorized amount. In most cases, the authorization is released within 24 hours. However, the processing time depends on your bank’s policies and the type of card transaction (for example, an immediate charge, a pre-authorization, or a delayed capture), so it may take up to 21 calendar days.

Until the authorization is released, the cardholder will unfortunately not have access to the authorized amount.
