What happens if I lose my mobile device?
Rest assured if you happen to lose your device; the recovery process is straightforward. In most cases, you may only need to log in with your Apple ID or Google account on the new device, download the Barion app, and log in as you did previously. Here are the detailed steps to ensure a smooth login experience on both iOS and Android.
If you are using the Barion app version 6.0.8 or later and have iCloud Keychain enabled (refer to the detailed instructions on how to enable it) on your device, you can seamlessly synchronize your passkeys across all your Apple devices.
If you access to your original device, the process involves authenticating yourself with your Apple ID and completing the two-factor authentication procedure established by Apple. Upon successful login to your Apple account, your passkeys will be seamlessly shared with your new device. To log in to your Barion account, simply download the Barion app on the new device, enter your email address, and proceed with the login process, just as you did before.
The iCloud Keychain serves as a highly secure storage mechanism integrated into Apple devices, designed for safeguarding sensitive data, including passkeys. Leveraging a blend of hardware and software security measures, the iOS keychain ensures the utmost protection of user data. Its ability to sync across multiple devices makes it both secure and convenient, allowing you effortless access to your stored passkeys from any of your Apple devices.

When you generate a passkey on an Android device, it is automatically saved and synchronized across your other Android devices through your Google account. If you lose access to your original Android device, the recovery process is straightforward. Simply log in to the same Google account on a device utilizing Google’s Credential Manager, and you'll seamlessly regain access to your Barion account as before. All you need to do is download the Barion app, enter your email address, and proceed with the login process.
