We’re looking for a Senior .NET Engineer who loves the web, cares about clean, maintainable code, and isn’t afraid of complex systems or legacy modernization. In this role, you’ll build fintech features in .NET and C#, help redesign and modernize our existing applications, and work in a small, focused SCRUM team where your ideas and technical decisions have a visible impact. If you enjoy ownership from planning to deployment, value automation, and like to challenge the status quo, we’d be happy to get to know you.
What we're looking for
- Expertise in .NET stack and the web: You're the kind of developer who can plan and create web projects in modern .NET. Expertise in ASP.NET , C#, and MS SQL. Confident in caching, data distribution, and performance optimization
- Distributed thinker: You have experience with working on distributed systems, and you are able to create microservices from scratch.
- Monolith-tolerant: You are not afraid of legacy code and have efficient ideas on how to redesign it into a modern architecture.
- Loves automation: whether it is CI/CD or AI, you strive to automate your workflow wherever possible.
- Client-side is a plus! If you know your way around the browser and are not afraid of JavaScript, we will appreciate it.
- Self-driven attitude: You love to see features through from planning to completion and are always keen to learn more.
- Critical thinker: You are not afraid to challenge the status quo, and you are able to voice your ideas.
- Conversational English: The ability to understand and communicate in English is preferred
Daily responsibilities
- Building fintech features in .NET and C# that make payments faster and more secure.
- Modernizing legacy applications into up-to-date software.
- Creating technical plans for business requirements with your teammates.
- Working in a SCRUM team (4-6 developers + PO) and participating in the entire software development lifecycle
- Participating in code reviews, deploying frequently, and monitoring the system.
- Mentoring less experienced colleagues to raise the team's technical level.
Hiring process
- Initial introduction (30 minutes): A conversation with the Hiring Manager that includes an introduction to our company, an overview of the position, and a discussion about your background, experience, and career goals.
- Technical interview (1 hour): A deep dive into your technical expertise and problem-solving skills with our Principal Engineer and Lead Software Engineer. An hour-long system-design interview where you will plan a new feature for an existing application. No live coding, no trick questions, no nonsense conversation.
What we offer
- Competitive salary: Attractive compensation packages for employees
- Private health care: Comprehensive health coverage for your well-being
- A warm and welcoming team that values humor, creativity, and the occasional meme.
- Low-process, high-authority teams, so you can focus on actual work instead of meetings.
- A scale-up culture, where you can still have a visible impact on the product.
- 3 days of home office per week to deep dive into development tasks.
- Modern office location: We are designing our brand new office at the end of Corvin sétány. We plan to move in in June. Until that we are located in the Budapest Science Park.
