What’s the difference between Barion Smart Gateway Fixed and Barion Smart Gateway IC++ packages?

With the Barion Smart Gateway Fixed package, every transaction costs the same, regardless of card type or origin. This makes it easier to plan your costs.

The Barion Smart Gateway IC++ package charges different fees per card transaction, made up of the following components:

  • Interchange (IC): An interbank commission paid to the card-issuing bank. Rates are set by international card networks.
  • Scheme fee (+): Charged by Visa or Mastercard. Also determined by international card schemes.
  • Plus (+): Barion’s merchant fee, which we define. The rate is listed in the pricing table as a percentage following the IC++ mark.

This detailed fee structure helps you better understand and plan the actual cost of card transactions.
